William (Bill) JOHNSON PhD CPSS CSCS has been teaching yoga for more than thirteen years. He studied with the Byron Yoga Centre in Bali, Indonesia, Paul Grilley in Thailand, Mexico, and the United States, and was also a BodyBalance Shadow Presenter for Les Mills™ Australia.
Bill has a PhD in Biomechanics from The University of Western Australia, a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from Edith Cowan University, and his coaching experience spans more than 3,100 classes over 25 years.
He holds E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 credentials with Yoga Alliance, CPSS (Certified Performance and Sport Scientist) and CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
His yoga classes blend yin and vinyasa flow with options for beginners and more advanced participants. He's particularly interested in how mobility, stillness, and strength contribute to athletic performance and the practical application of biomechanics to yoga.
Bill has worked for three Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, and is currently the Senior Biomechanist for the Washington Nationals Baseball Club, based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
