Basia is a mom, wife, visual artist (MFA), certified yoga instructor, author, designer, model. She was born in Poland, raised in Canada and resided in Japan before settling in Oslo in 2009. Her work reflects her involvement in the self-help movement and yoga industry. Basia has practiced ashtanga yoga since 2000, making annual trips to KPJAYI in Mysore, India. Basia was authorized by Sri K.Pattabhi Jois in 2004, followed by R.Sharath in 2008 and certified by Manju Jois in 2014. She has also trained with David Swenson (Ashtanga Yoga) and Shandor Remete (Shadow Yoga) as well as Uma Dinsmore Tuli (Prenatal Yoga). Yoga became the hub of her wheel of activities for over a decade resulting in creative projects which range from art direction, commercial design, illustration to performance and modeling. She is a certified professional who has managed and developed studios, taught and trained students at various studios in Asia and Europe and currently teaches and works as a Yoga product Manager at HiYoga in Oslo.
