Community, education and creativity are the passions that orbit Shari’s yoga practice. Yoga began for her as a way to balance her love for running, then after discovering Baptiste Power, yoga took center stage in her life as a way to affect positive change. As a a leader in yoga in her community, her commitment is to shine a bright light onto everyday life through conscious awareness.
Over the past decade Shari has completed a 200 hr training in Hatha Yoga, over 300 hrs in Baptiste Yoga, as well as advanced certifications in Children’s yoga, Yin yoga, and in Yoga Asana Assisting. She studied ashtanga yoga, yin and vinyasa yoga at the Lafayette Center for Yoga with Lydia and Michael Mouton and completed her 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in 2013. Shari then furthered her yoga training, specializing in Children’s Yoga with children’s yoga expert Shana Meyerson’s and completed her "mini yogis" program.
She is a certified Baptiste Teacher and has completed her Tier 1 Certification in Baptiste Power Yoga. She currently teaches classes at Goodwolf Power Yoga, where she leads workshops and 200RYT trainings. Her passion is to share yoga with everyone as she teaches for free to adults and children at schools, parks, and shelters.
When you attend one of Shari’s Yoga classes, you can be sure that you will sweat, stretch, and strengthen your body, while having fun moving and grooving to some funky music.
She practices and teaches Baptiste Power Yoga and Yin Yoga but believes that any type of yoga is good yoga and that yoga is a “gift to your body”.
