I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN and recently retired from the Army after 27 years of service. Since 2009 I have practiced various styles of yoga, but fell in love with the hot yoga practice. While on my last Army assignment in Hawaii, I committed to hot yoga and became an unlimited monthly member at Bella Kai Hot Yoga in Kailua. After a couple of months, I signed up for teacher training through Evolation Yoga with the encouragement of Kalia the studio owner and completed my training in March 2024.
I have found that I am happier, calmer and more mentally focused when I practice yoga regularly. This moving meditation quiets my mind and provides numerous physical benefits. I am very grateful for all of my yoga mentors and look forward to sharing the practice with others.
