Doriana Taccardi (she/her) is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and Ph.D. Candidate in Biomedical and Molecular Science.
Born and raised in Italy, she graduated in Clinical Psychology (MSc., BSc.) and worked in mental health and research in London before moving to Canada. She is now a Ph.D. Candidate at Queen's and her research focuses on circadian rhythmicity in Chronic Pain and Multiple Sclerosis.
She was a competitive roller hockey player until 2021 and has always been passionate about fitness and wellness. She became a yoga teacher in August 2023 and started teaching yoga at a local studio ever since. She considers herself an eternal student of yoga and she is always looking for additional courses to take (the most recent in arm balances!). Her favourite aspects of yoga are the philosophy, breathwork, and mindfulness. She hopes to guide others to meet their whole self on the mat (in between chaturangas!).
