Mavis Yip is a Registered Yoga Teacher 500 hrs (RYT 500) and a Registered Children Yoga Teacher 100hrs (RCYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Growing up as a Professional Latin Dancer, Mavis has always enjoyed challenging her body with new goals and intense workouts. Mavis started her first yoga in 2016. Yoga was merely a kind of exercise to keep her body mobile after long working hours every day when she was working in the Education Industry since then. Knowing how yoga benefits her physically and mentally, Mavis has the vision of letting more people experience the benefits of yoga by making yoga accessible to all walks of life.
Working in the early childhood sector, Mavis started to introduce children's yoga to her students.She believes that yoga can help children release stress, maintain concentration, and benefit their health and well-being.
Her teachings are progressive, with each practice accessible for beginners yet challenging for experienced practitioners. She brings in the practices of mindfulness, short meditation and breathing exercises to her class. Through a combination of mindful exploration and quiet awareness, she offers students the chance to reconnect with their heart and spark a positive transformation that extends far beyond the four corners of the mat.
