Zahkary Dragonfly is a 500-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) with Yoga Alliance. One called, "A Treasure Trove of Knowledge," Zahkary has expertise in a variety of yoga styles and other disciplines related to health and wellbeing.
Zahkary is fluent as a teacher in the following styles of yoga: vinyasa, hatha, yoga nidra, restorative, yin, power, and therapeutics. He is skilled at assessing the needs of his students and providing them with an optimal on-mat experience. In his classes, Zahkary enjoys sharing stories, facts, and wisdom that can be at once profound and humourous. With Zahkary, be prepared to laugh and challenge yourself to an appropriate level.
Zahkary grew up as a sportsperson, and later found yoga as a way to rebuild his body, mind, and spirit. He has an accomplished background as a university kinesiology, psychology, and philosophy student. He is currently completing a master's degree in coaching, where he is working on bringing yoga to the sporting community as a healthy way to boost recovery and performance. With a foot in two worlds, he is also has a decade of experience as a hockey goalie coach.
