I started doing yoga through books, on my own, in the mid 1990's as a teenager in the South. Later, I would go to yoga classes with my dad at Guru Maya's ashram in Denver. At 22, I went to live at a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Center where I studied Tibetan Buddhist psychology, philosophy, meditation and yoga, as well as Tibetan language. Throughout undergrad art school in the Bay Area, I did a lot of workstudy or worktrade for classes at yoga studios and dance studios. I took A LOT of classes! I was always so interested in the body, its knowledge, and how the spirit moves through in various rhythms.cultures, etc. I moved to Thailand in 2008 and taught dance and yoga. When I moved back to the Bay Area in 2013, I did my yoga teacher training with Laura Camp at Flying Yoga in Oakland. It is now 2024 and I am doing another training, 300 hours with Janet Stone. I am also certified in Ashtanga, Yin, and Restorative yoga.
