Hello, I'm Naz Tekeş Sucuoğlu.
I'm a clinical psychologist.
I have been yoga instructor since 2017.
All About Me
I started doing yoga at a very early age. At first, I was doing my own practice. Then I started taking private lessons at home. As my yoga practices increased, I wanted to learn more and deepen. Thus, in 2017, I decided to take up training as a trainer. Luckily, I met two very nice teachers, Arzu and Yelina.
After completing my training, my thoughts and practice about yoga have completely changed. The first question I asked my instructors at the meeting for teacher training was "what other training can I get when I'm finished". I was too hasty. Instead of enjoying the training I was about to start, what came to my mind was what else I could do after I finished it. I discovered how enjoyable it is to live in the moment, thanks to my training as a trainer and with the contributions of my valuable teachers.
Before, I was doing yoga for my more physical goals. After my training, I became acquainted with the mental dimension of yoga and included it in my practices. In my practices, I started to give importance to protecting my body and listening to my needs. I became more interested in researching the pose and discovering how it made me feel, rather than completing the pose. Listening to my body's needs and wants allows me to make discoveries about myself and there is no end to it! I follow the paths that come my way by listening to myself and let the flow take me.
I did my clinical psychology master's thesis on the effects of regular yoga practice on sleep quality and mental symptoms. If you want to get detailed information about my thesis, you can contact me.
