Engineer, Bad Yogi, Gardener & Filmmaker are a few adjectives to describe my passions in life. My love of yoga started at 18 years old when I wondered into a sunrise Hatha class on the north shore of Maui and was welcomed to with open arms to practice for free. Hind sight is 20/20 and looking back I can now see that yoga despite an irregular asana practice has changed my view of the world and taught me to include purpose and intention with each part of the day. Yoga when embraced affects every facet of life from the way we eat and communicate with others; to ethical views in business, sleep, dreams, walking, sitting, talking, feeling and breathing. If yoga is an ocean then asana is just puddle. With each new journey it feels that the more I learn the less I know which generally meant spending more time listening than talking. However, in 2023 it was time to share the knowledge I had been given. So, after attended a 200 hour YTT course in Rishikesh, India my journey came to include teaching yoga. I'm not always excited about class before it starts but always grateful afterwards embracing every experience as learning whether it's good or bad. We can all learn something from everyone who crosses our path and I look forward to the journey ahead.
