In the winter of 2022 I walked into a yoga class four weeks post-op from gastric sleeve surgery, looking for a healthy way to manage stress.  When I left that class, I knew yoga was going to be part of the rest of my life and not just as a student.  A year and a half later I continue to practice yoga as a student several times a week and am now a RYT 200 yoga instructor.

Yoga has increased my self-confidence and taught me self-love in a way nothing else has.  Every time I step onto my mat, I am in awe of the capabilities of my mind and body I did not think was possible.  I want to help others, no matter their physical make-up, realize they are more capable of physical movement then they think.  I want to help people boost their self-love the way yoga boosted mine.

In the future, my goal is to become a wellness coach, certified in trauma informed yoga, and through the use of yoga practices and coaching, help people improve their mental, emotional, and physical health.  I want to help others discover the amazing benefits of yoga, and realize that one does not have to be able to twist themselves into a pretzel to experience these benefits every day.
