I have been actively teaching since 2004, practicing and studying many different yoga traditions extensively since 2000 including vinyasa, Kundalini, Iyengar, and the method closest to my heart, Anusara. In addition to classes I teach and have taught Yoga Immersions, Retreats, Teacher Trainings, Prenatal Yoga Teacher Trainings, Private and Small Group Yoga Sessions, a wide variety of workshops. I study actively with many teachers from around the world, and in 2012 completed an 18-month intensive study incorporating Yoga and Jewish Spirituality. I completed my full Anusara Certification in 2014.
I sought out yoga 20 years ago to help cope with the physical aches & pains that are the gifts of a performing musician, and soon found not an exercise system as I expected, but a way of life. Yoga has become a path of learning and lifelong practice that has helped to shape my life in all aspects, reminding me that when I open to the power of grace in every moment, I can choose the life I desire to live.
It is my ultimate goal as a teacher to cultivate a sense of community in my classes, bring a sense of fullness and joy to my students by helping them to expand to their highest possible potential both on and off the mat, and help them to strengthen their connection to their own unique and divine nature. My classes infuse dynamic asana and skillful pranayama and meditation interwoven with deep teachings of the heart and spirit, designed to awaken the deepest longing of the soul to connect with it’s Source.
