Maddy found yoga at the age of 17 as a fun way to stay physically active. After a few years of her practice, she soon began to realise the deep, healing impact yoga had on her mental health after living with anxiety and depression. A practice that made her body AND mind a priority. It was this realisation and her then commitment to a solid daily practice over the years that lead her to complete her teacher training in 2020.
Maddy believes that Yoga allows the body and mind to release what no longer serves us and allows the possibility of presence, mindfulness and self awareness. Tools that everyone is deserving of. She aims to offer a kind, welcoming, motivating space. A safe place to connect with your body and develop a yoga practice that encourages you to grow physically and mentally.
In her classes expect strong poses, slow flows, moments to soften and good music. The core of her classes focus on allowing each person to work and listen to their bodies with variations and modifications always welcome. By appreciating that all bodies are unique and movement looks different for each of us, Maddy hopes that whoever she teaches walks away feeling empowered.
