Miranda is a passionate educator whose mission is to foster radical love and connection to the natural world in every child she cares for. She has worked closely with all ages, from infants to young adults, in a wide variety of education roles across the country. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in play-based, emergent learning in the outdoors. She believes in building student resilience through facilitating positive experiences with challenge and risk. She received her BA from Cal Poly Humboldt, and is completing her MEd at Antioch University New England, with emphases in place-based education, nature-based early childhood, and mindfulness integration. She holds a RCYT-200 and RCYT certification from Soma Yoga Institute. She is currently working toward a Vermont teaching license with an endorsement in birth–3rd grade. In her downtime, she most enjoys marveling over small, wild creatures she encounters, humming silly songs, and finding new ways to rest and restore.
