I took my first Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga class at the age of 44 in Edinburgh, in 2004. I was quickly hooked and yoga was soon a regular part of my life—with some ups and downs in my level of commitment over the years. I moved from Edinburgh to London at the beginning of 2013 and have been practising regularly with Agi Gazda first at The Life Centre and now at the ARC Islington over the last five years or so.
I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Asturias Yoga with Simon Loughlin and Alyson Simeone in August 2022. Since then I have taught regular small classes of colleagues at my university, online classes, as well as regularly assisting Agi at her Mysore-style ashtanga classes.
My led classes are based on Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and I tailor them to different levels of fitness and experience.
My practice and knowledge of yoga also owes much to Rowena Morris, then at the Yoga Room in Edinburgh and Claire Lavery in Berkeley and San Francisco.
