Adrianne discovered Sivananda Yoga in 1996 intuitively knowing it would help her heal following a 4-story fall. During her weekly classes, she increasingly looked forward to being transported to a magical place while laying on her back with her eyes closed to finish out the practice. Adrianne rediscovered Yoga in 2021 after her WWII veteran father’s passing. Veterans Yoga Project’s trauma-informed yoga classes facilitated by heart-led teachers provided a safe space that nurtured her grieving process and inspired her to obtain Yoga teacher certification from My Vinyasa Practice. During this process, Adrianne learned that Yoga Nidra was the transport to that magical place she discovered in 1996.
