Sunniva has more than 25 years of teaching experience, first within the field of ballet, where she has a BA degree, and later as a yoga teacher.

She started practicing yoga in the 90's, alongside being a professional dancer and ballet teacher, in 2015 she took her first teacher training which was 200 hours RYT in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

She has been teaching yoga since 2006 and full time since 2017 and has later added on severeal in depth courses such as Total Yoga Nidra Teacher and Facilitator Trainging with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli, ISHTA Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Ulrica Norberg, Pre Natal Yoga Teacher Training with Cathrine Mathiesen, iRest Yoga Nidra with Richard Miller, Parayoga Koshas Course with Rody Stryker (Yogarupa), Yoga Philosophy with several different teachers such as Edwin Bryant, Graham Schweig, etc through Enbodied Philosophy and a longer practice and study over several years with Eevi Beck who is darmacharya from Thich Nhat Hanh.

Sunniva currently teaches at YogaKi, a yoga studio located in Oslo, Norway, where she is also one of the founders of the studio. She teaches various yoga forms, but always rooted in the belief that everyone should practice yoga with a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection with great respect and love for oneself, and fellow practitioners.
