My name is Isa-Maria Cave and I was born in Germany with a Portuguese-German background. I first started to practise yoga whilst working as a stage actress back in 2000. Back then my yoga practice allowed me to cope better with the stresses and demands of the acting profession.
Way before that time, when taking dance lessons (ballet, modern, jazz) getting "out of my head and into my body". had been crucial to me. Like Iyengar said: " your body is your temple - keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in".
Having moved to the U.K in 2012 with my british ex-husband, I started my yoga teacher training with TK Yoga in Framlingham, U.K. in 2017. 2019 I moved my yoga / massage business to my native Germany in order to take care of my elderly father. In 2020 I finished my 2-year yoga teacher training with Yoga Vidya. Currently, I run 6 regular yoga classes ( Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga for sedentary Jobs, Yin Yoga), 5 of them are certified with the German health insurance system . I also work 2 days a week a massage / Reiki therapist and holistic healer.
Having suffered from Migraines most of my life, i started to look into specific exercises to relieve my problems with shoulder and neck tension. As I gained more knowledge about the fascia and stretching I curated a programme to primarily help myself. As a result I have been free of migraine attacks for over 3 years and now specialise in Yoga Workshops for Migraine and tension headaches. I have also filmed an online short clip yoga series " Yoga for migraines" soon to be available in English.
I'm passionate about assisting people on their own healing journey, passing on the knowledge and experience in overcoming my own struggles. Equally I enjoy spreading the joy my own daily practice gives me. To pracice self-care whilst challenging oneself to overcome one's limitation is a balancing act I find exciting.
