I am a 200 Hour certified yoga teacher. I have been practicing yoga since 2019. I was an endurance athlete for many years - completing the Ironman triathlon twice. I have coached swimming for 24 years. During that time, I have coached 16 High School All-Americans
I came to yoga for strength and flexibility to continue running and cycling. After starting my yoga practice, I had to abandon a run after two blocks - my knee hurt so bad that I could barely walk. I had spent years pushing myself physically on the road - embracing the go hard or go home attitude, but it left my body struggling to continue. The only exercise I could do was yoga. Two years later, one of my teachers made a comment that changed my perspective, “I enjoyed working with you Shawn, you’re a fully functional human.”
The supplement to my endurance training had become a source of body awakening, emotional calmness and personal transformation. I felt fully functional - physically and mentally.
I am interested in working with students that want to awaken the body and transform their mind.
