नमस्ते! Hi, I'm Elena, the founder of Modern Sanskrit Collective. A native New Yorker, I have been teaching Sanskrit to children and adults for over twenty-six years in the United Kingdom and am one of the authors of the St James series of Sanskrit textbooks. In 2008 I received a Masters’ degree in Sanskrit Literature from London University (SOAS) and am now a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society. Sanskrit and spirituality are the centre of my life, and both inspire me in many different ways. I hope that inspiration is fully conveyed to my students in whatever way is right for them.
I run my own Sanskrit and Indian philosophy courses, but I also have taught for many different studios and organizations, such as Indaba Yoga Studio, Leo Cosendai, A Fine Balance Yoga Studio, The School of Ayurveda UK and Walking on Earth.
