For many years I found the Mat every January, my intention was to make yoga an integral part of my self care plan, however, by Spring my Mat remained rolled up. I struggled to make time for yoga while juggling motherhood, family life, owning a business and being a Hearing Professional. During 2020 I became a Bereaved Parent. The intense pain of grief & loss connected my mind, body and emotions…I instantly became a Yogi. I was curious, “Could I experience this connection without the pain?”. In January 2022, I boarded a plane to Costa Rica and participated in a Human Journey at the Peace Retreat. I became a 200 hr Yoga Teacher and found the answer to my question, “Yes, I could be connected without pain”. To this day practicing Yoga helps transform my grief into more moments of joy. I am proud to say I make the time for self care and my Mat gets rolled out every day. I am a forever student; Heart Wise, Chair Yoga & 100 hr Grief Yoga are my recent Certifications. I am passionate about listening to your body, calming your mind and finding balance using movement, breath and sound. I am eager to share and lead a compassionate practice with the community in our Nations Capital.
