Varun grew up in India, where at an early age he was into fitness, kung fu, extreme sports & nature. At 25, after a career as a professional musician he started his adventure sports firm & setup various facilities across India & the Middle East. His passion for design & functionality helped him enter a new space of Defense Technology where he could manufacture new products. He was contracted by the Indian Special Forces, assisting them in upgrading their protective gear & improving the quality of life of the user. 

Varun was first introduced to yoga right after high school as part of his martial arts training, but it wasn’t until 2018 when he incorporated yoga into his daily life. After suffering many crippling injuries caused due to his escapades in extreme sports, Varun used the healing effects of yoga to fix his body as well as hone his mind & endurance. After shattering his wrist in a motocross accident, he spent three years using stretching, strengthening & other yoga practices to fix it. Today he is able to do blindfolded handstands. 

When his father was diagnosed with cancer and after years of treatment, at a point when doctors had given him a few months to live - Varun then started studying the ancient practice of Taoist medicine, qigong, acupressure & yin yoga to help relieve his father’s pain & relieve his mother’s stress. His search led him to understand the fundamentals about chronic pain, physical as well as psychological; how it can hold a person back from a full recovery and how to help relieve pain through slow calibrated movements & focused breathing. 

Since 2020, Varun has been teaching Yoga, Qigong, Breathwork & Meditation. Though a lover of dynamic movement, handstands, arm balances & creative flows, his focus lies in the integration of ancient healing principles of chi with dynamic as well as meditative movements to create an internal space & deepen the inner connection of the mind & body. He is passionate about spreading his love for yoga, qigong, pain relief techniques, martial arts & helping others in their journey.
