My yoga journey really started after losing the love of my life.
It changed my perspective completely and made me explore new ways of giving meaning to my life. It brought me to the beautiful island of Kauai (HI) where I did my first 200-hour teacher training with Michaelle Edwards. She developed the YogAlign method; a yoga practice for optimal alignment using painless and safe poses and unique breathing techniques toning the core and aligning posture from the inside out.
In addition to this I did multiple other teacher trainings (Yin/Restorative Yoga with Simon Low, WellWoman Yoga for women with Francoise Freedman, Breath Initiated Movement with Max Strom and many other great teachers) and a course to specialize in yoga for people living with cancer.
This resulted in my own style of yoga: YogAlign Flow – focusing more on your posture than the poses itself. My aim is to make yoga accessible to all bodies regardless age, fitness or body type. I’m a full figured down to earth older teacher with a far from perfect body using my knowledge and experience to help people (re)discover a deeper appreciation of their bodies, minds and maybe even their lives.
