I have completed the 1.000 hours Traditional yoga teacher training with Yogalærerskolen in Norway in 2008. This is from the Satyananda linage of tantra yoga.
I have also participated in two Yin yoga TT with Paulie Zink - Daoist yoga.
By end 2022 I had completed 8.000 teaching hours.
My main focus in yoga is:
- Traditional yoga - tantra lineage - Satyananda lineage.
- Traditional Yin yoga - with emphasis on Five elements and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as foundation for my teachings.
I teach asana practice with a strong interest in and focus on anatomy and physiology. Every body is unique; there is no "fits all" instructions! Every body needs help to grasp the intention in each and every yoga pose.
Pranayama is one of my specializations. Being based in tantra and traditional yoga, this is a very important part of my personal practice as well as in my teachings. I teach all the main practices as Bhastrika, Kapalbhati, Surya Bheda, Nadi Shodana, Shitali, etc, etc.
Another specialization are relaxation techniques in general and Yoga Nidra in special. I have since 2018 educated 100 teachers in Yoga Nidra (YN TT 55 hours). This is based on the Yoga Nidra that Satyananda brought, but with modifications to fit the modern human being; stress management and personal development.
Meditations has always been a huge part of my life, even before yoga. Mostly I teach deep Yoga Nidra with focus on meditation, Antar Mouna and Adjapa Japa. Meditations on the Chakras are also a big part of my life, both personally and teaching. I give TT and CE courses on Yoga Nidra, meditations from the tantras and Chakra introduction in order to be able to bring forward the intentions of the Chakras and how they can help us in daily life is very important for me.
My teaching style is mostly oral with clear and easy understandable instructions. This give me the opportunity to observe my students during practice and learn more about how to guide them the best way possible. This gives my students the possibility to close their eyes, find their breath and their body, and dive into this beautiful practice of yoga with me without the need to observe me and be distracted by other students. All my students says the same; we love being guided by you; you see us and you care deeply for us; we feel it in every word you say.
