Greetings, I am Tamina.
I am enamored with spaces that cultivate connection and healing. In 2020, I founded The Space & Advocacy Project (S&A), centering the vision around intentionally curating these spaces within the lives of adult BIPOC/LGBTQ+ survivors of childhood trauma, racial trauma, and chronic toxic stress to improve our well-being.
I am a Registered Nurse, Somatic Coach, Mental Wellness Coach, and Yoga Teacher. I hold certifications in the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method, Trauma Center Trauma- Sensitive Yoga, chair yoga, and restorative yoga.
My philosophy of practice rejects pathologization of the human experience; I embrace the fullness of humanity as it presents in each individual- all parts included. My lens of practice is Trauma- Informed Care. My yoga coaching/wellness coaching style is grounded in the guiding principles of S&A: compassion, connection, curiosity, choice, and care.
Sessions are a collaborative experience in which you are invited to explore your breath and somatic senses through traditional gentle yoga forms and intuitive movements. Sessions are led using the language of compassionate inquiry. At this time, all sessions are held virtually via Zoom. Individual and group sessions are available.
