Marie took her first yoga class in 2007 in Hossegor, France, her home town. At this time, she was a business lawyer. She got her first yoga certification in 2016 in Accra, Ghana where she lived with her husband and two kids. Her yoga foundations lie in Hatha yoga and more specifically Ashtanga Yoga.

In 2017 she moved to Dakar, Senegal where she felt a strong desire to sincerely give to others what her teachers have given to her so she opened her own yoga studio « Atika Yoga Studio ». « Atika » because it was the first word her daughter has ever pronounced.

In parallel, she volunteered as a fundraising associate. She organized charity events for the NGO OAfrica and developed new partnerships with big companies to increase donations and to maintain educational and medical programs in favor of children in need. She also created yoga classes to support and empower abandoned children and abused women in La Maison Rose.

She took her second teacher training at Ashtanga Yoga Paris in 2018 and the third one in 2019 with Carmen Aguilar who created her own type of yoga called cYoga. These teacher trainings allowed her to study yogic scriptures and philosophy, as well as anatomy. She is amazed by the way the body works and she teaches yoga as a therapeutical technic to recover and maintain the body and mind connection.

After 6 years in West Africa, she got divorced and decided to move to Switzerland to connect with nature and mountains and to settle in a place where she and her kids would feel in peace and harmony.

According to her, yoga is known as the practice of asana, pranayama and meditation but it is also a practice of being truthful, kind, fearless, peaceful and happy. She believes that the practice does not stop when you roll up the yoga mat. The practice of yoga includes the way you live your life, the way you relate to your family, friends, co-workers and also to the strangers on the street and to Mother Earth. This is the life long practice of developing yogic awareness.

Marie is an outdoor person, she loves hiking, surfing and snowboarding.

She is registered as an experienced registered yoga Alliance Teacher (RYT 200).
