My name is Laura, I am 43 years old; Originally from France, I now live in Canada with my husband and two teenage boys.
I began practicing yoga 9 years ago, while I was living a very stressful and demanding professional life, and found Yoga as a way to develop connection with my true 'Self'. Shortly after the pandemic started in 2020, I had that "gut feeling" telling me that it was time to realize my dreams and to "take a leap" into the unknown (if you know what I mean.. there was something vibrating deep inside me); I was eager to deepen my personal practice and to learn more about what yoga had to offer, beyond the Asanas. After a 5 month-long inspiring and life-changing Yoga Teacher training (YTT 200hr), I became a Yoga Instructor in May 2021;
Through practicing yoga, I have learnt to be more at peace with myself, to listen to my emotions and feelings, and to be more in tune with my body and my mind. I've also learnt to use my breath to guide me along my practice and my life journey.
Yoga has brought a whole new dimension to my life; Through teaching yoga to others, I hope to make many people benefit from the virtues of yoga in order to enhance their well-being and bring harmony to their lives.
The style of yoga I teach is Hatha Yoga- my classes are mainly focused on stretches, flexibility and balance, while integrating some gentle movement and flow. I love to include lots of breath work, and help students connect with the present moment, by focusing on their breath and going inwards. All levels of practitioners are welcome.
Please reach out to me if you want to learn more! Looking forward to connecting.
