Caren Sexton is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
I was a former Human Resources Executive, lost and anxious. I was stressed out, running around with no direction, searching for answers outside of myself. I felt the need to help people on a deeper, more meaningful level, but I didn’t know how. I felt like my inner flame was burning out. Then in January 2018, my friend encouraged me to become a Yoga Teacher. I was curious, but I knew little about yoga at the time. First, I shifted from working in Human Resources to becoming and working as a group fitness instructor, teaching muscle conditioning classes at a gym close to my home. It was great, but I still felt a need to do more to serve people. Then in June 2019, I took a chance and decided to try out some yoga classes at Inye Yoga (Oakville). Doing these yoga classes, led by bright, helpful and compassionate Yoga Teachers, turned my life around. I found the classes and yoga teachers helped me to de-clutter my mind, move my body gently and reignite my inner flame. It had a such a big impact on me, that I decided to take the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Inye Yoga and become a Hatha Yoga Teacher (completed RYT® 200 in June 2021).
