Gretchen is a 500 hour RYT through the Yoga Alliance with training in both Vinyasa and Kundalini lineages. She holds a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and spent the first part of her professional career serving as an athletic trainer, providing sports medicine care to collegiate, high school, and youth sports.
Gretchen’s teaching style blends elements of our natural world with traditional practices that have been passed from teacher to student for thousands of years. She is immersed in the daily, monthly, and annual cycles of the tide, the moon, and the seasons. She stands with one foot in ancient philosophy and intuitive wisdom and the other foot in the physiology behind the practices she guides. Her classes are efficient, potent, and full of affording her students choice in their practice. Her students are invited to play, explore, and discover the layers of their body with joy and acceptance.
