As a certified holistic health practitioner in her early years, Sarah learned the importance of integrating natural and flexible alternatives to create wellbeing. This served her well in the following two decades, which saw her entering and becoming consumed by a busy sales and business leadership career. During that time, she drew on the tools of meditation, relaxation, and exercise to help achieve a feeling of calm and connection, despite the typical stress and imbalance of corporate life.
Always passionate about yoga and its teachings, Sarah eventually took time out to gain her qualification as a mindfulness trainer, then combined her love for natural health with her respect for ancient wisdom by becoming a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher. Later, she graduated further training to specialize in teaching yoga to older adults, and in early 2021 she created Gentle Yoga NZ. Her weekly classes are now held at the Rothesay Bay hall, a tranquil setting close to the beach on the beautiful North Shore of Auckland, NZ. Sarah enjoys providing community classes that make the wisdom practice of yoga available and appropriate for older adults and those with age-related or physical vulnerabilities. She also teaches weekly Yin yoga and Restorative yoga classes, designed to relax, nourish and restore the mental and physical wellbeing of all ages. Sarah is frequently invited to teach at retreats and similar events.
