Sher Amos-Grosser (she/her) is a San Francisco Bay Area based 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School, Noah Maze and the Maze Method.
An athlete growing up, her personal yoga practice began in 1995 as a supportive modality to her physical endeavors. It wasn't until yoga teacher training that she finally understood the roots of yoga and its benefits; there is energy and resilience combining breath work, meditation, and movement. She draws all three as a way to support clients through:
- hatha yoga (sometimes with weights to protect joints and build core strength)
- a trauma-informed lens (some people just aren't comfortable lying in savasana)
- accessible yoga (sometimes injury gets the best of even the strongest athletes, so all asanas can be adapted to seated)
Sher offers an all-levels approach, with attention paid to joint and spine health, and teaches to all, regardless of age, background, gender, or ability.
