Sher Amos-Grosser (she/her) is a San Francisco Bay Area based 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, having completed her training with Noah Maze.
As an athlete from a young age, Sher's personal yoga practice began in 1995 as a supportive modality to her physical endeavors while pregnant with her first daughter. It wasn't until yoga teacher training that she truly understood the yoga and its profound benefits - the synergy of breath work, meditation, and movement cultivates a unique energy and resilience.
Sher draws upon these three pillars to support her clients whether they are youths (13 - 18 year olds), corporate executives, or athletes:
- Hatha yoga, sometimes incorporating weights to protect joints and build core strength
- a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that not everyone is comfortable with traditional practices like Savasana (corpse pose) and Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward facing dog)
- accessible yoga, adapting poses as needed to accommodate injuries or limitations, whether seated or standing
Sher offers an all-levels approach, with attention paid to joint and spine health. She welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds, genders, and abilities, creating a safe and inclusive space for personal growth and healing.
