Kallie Schut is a teacher of Indian heritage with yoga sadhana for over 35 years. She is Yoga Alliance certified, E-RYT 500, and is a yoga and dharmic traditions culture advocate and educator. Kallie trained in hatha and classical kundalini yoga with Yogrishi Vishvketu, in Rishikesh, India, advanced yin with Norman Blair, yoga nidra with Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli. Kallie is a certified gong practitioner and sound healer having trained with Sheila Whittaker.

Kallie is a lifelong social justice and antiracist activist - advocating for those without a voice or presence in places of power and privilege - as a defence and family lawyer and now in the public sector broadening access to education and reducing poverty. Kallie seeks to harness her practice to challenge the yoga industry to co-create spaces which are honouring of wisdom traditions, accessible, inclusive and representative for those who are excluded or marginalised.

Kallie offers continuing professional development courses in decolonising yoga practice and philosophy online immersion courses - rooted in understanding colonialism and its legacy, critical race theory and social justice and equity.

Kallie is one of the founding members of the UK Yoga Teachers Union - the second yoga teachers' trade union after the New York union.

Kallie is also the founder of Rebel YogaTribe YouTube channel, Radical Yogi Book Club and contributes to teacher trainings which delve deep into the legacy of colonialism in yoga so that sacred wisdom traditions are honoured through a decolonised lens
