Dr. Donna Jagielski “Dr. J” is the founder and owner of "Blessings, Balance, Breath Yoga" which leads the program Yoga for Empowered Women. This program serves formerly incarcerated women in reclaiming their empowerment through the practice of yoga and reflective journaling. The program has received support from: Gaiam, Give Back Yoga Foundation, The Pollination Project, and Awesome Without Borders/The Harnisch Foundation.

Dr. J holds a doctorate in education and has served in the field of public education for 20 years. She has introduced yoga in the schools to help students manage conflict and reduce stress. Dr. J. is passionate about bringing yoga to underserved populations, marginalized communities, and faith-based institutions.

Additionally trained in trauma-informed yoga practice, Dr. J’s goal is to bring yoga to juvenile detention centers and various correctional facilities as well as the general public. Although it is not a traditional “philosophical yoga quote”, Dr. J. doesn’t necessarily “conform” to anything traditional. But one must agree with the quote Dr. J lives by, as being one of great impact:
