Judy Evans is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). She completed her first 200 hour level training with the Yoga Academy of North America (classical, Hatha yoga, pranayama, and meditation) and a second 200 hour training with Integrative Yoga Therapy. She has also completed basic and advanced training in Yoga Nidra teaching, and in pranayama and meditation  teaching, through the Yoga Academy of North America, and Advanced Yoga Nidra through Dharma Kshetra Yoga. She has studied Sanskrit through the Yogic Studies platform, and yoga philosophy, esoterica, and mythology at the School of Indian Wisdom. As an experienced physician, she appreciates that the practice of yoga is well suited to support health and manage stress. She believes that yoga should be accessible to all, and that pranayama and meditation are part of a well rounded yoga practice. She also has special interests in mantra and meditation, and leads kirtan.
