Toni came to Yoga as a way to recover from the physical and mental demands of being a Massage and Bodywork Practitioner and small business owner. In addition to being a YA registered YT200 Yoga Teacher, she is also a Medical Massage Therapist, a Certified Lymphatic Therapist and owns Me Time LLC: A Clinical Massage and Yoga Studio in Troy, AL. Together, the Yoga and Massage complement each other in her mind-body approach to holistic wellness. She teaches Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, and Yoga for Mobility to help her massage patients learn productive coping techniques for pain and stress as well as developing a healthy lifestyle and heightened self-awareness.
She encourages others to include Yoga as part of their self-care routine and teaches according to each student's needs and abilities, offering modifications as needed to make Yoga as accessible as possible.
She attended Dragonfly Yoga Studies in FWB, FL for her YTT200 training in 2019. There, she learned the Iyengar Style of Yoga which includes the use of Props to achieve proper alignment. In 2020, she attended Mindfulness-Based Stress Relief (MBSR) training as she favors mindfulness for her own stress relief. She is currently attending Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Studies to deepen her own practice and learn how to apply her therapeutic assessment skills in order to engage her students in Yoga that can help them heal and live well.
Toni lives on a farm with her husband and their son and several animals. She has her BS in Alternative Medicine from Everglades University's Orlando, FL campus. She has been a Massage Therapist since 2003 and practiced Yoga since 2007.
