Having teaching yoga since 2003 and Pilates since 2013, I have always share my insights and knowledge of yoga with my students freely and joyfully. When I first started yoga, my practice was power-based and fast paced, which, in my own words was an “aggressive” one. A major head injury from a car accident in 2003, however, turned into an opportunity for me to take a closer look at my practice as severe headaches and giddiness from my head injury would strike me whenever I practiced in the old way. I had to slow down my practice and after patiently working with myself for close to a year after my accident, I had a good recovery and my practice was also beautifully transformed.
By teaching from the belief that Yoga and Pilates can improve when practiced intelligently, my aspiration is for students from all walks of life to have a sustainable and satisfying Yoga and Pilates practice. With an emphasis on helping students to build a strong foundation in their practice, my teaching marries strength and flow, and my reminder to my students is always to move from the core (in all senses of the word).
Continued fascination and passion in the art of Yoga and Pilates will stay as a lifelong project to me.
