After experimenting with a few yoga classes over the years, Lisa found Loretta Jo at Yoga-Mojo in 2014. The physical challenge of Loretta’s classes, along with learning to tap more fully into the mind-body-breath connection, helped to calm Lisa's crazy “monkey mind”. As a type-A person working in a technical field, the calm and centeredness of yoga was exactly what Lisa needed. After several years of practice, Lisa decided to jump into teacher training, graduating from Yoga-Mojo’s Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in the fall of 2019.
Lisa creates an inclusive space for each student to not only improve their strength and flexibility, but to increase mental focus and calm the mind -- benefits the practice of yoga has brought to her life. Her class includes an energizing Vinyasa sequence with a focus on breath, allowing the practice to become a moving meditation. Detailed alignment cues, inspirational thoughts, and a fun pose or balance round out Lisa's class. Lisa's students will step off their mat feeling renewed, with a greater sense of peace.
Outside of yoga, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, reading, running, and all things animal/nature.
