Racheal Diaz is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
I'm an easy going mom, wife and friend who enjoys outdoor adventures like camping, hiking, biking, beach days and exploring new places. I have had a passion for health and fitness for as long as i can remember, waking up at 6am to Mickey Mouse workouts on tv and joining my dad in his weight room in the house. Yoga found me at 18, in a women's crisis center, where I learned a skill to help with anxiety, depression and PTSD. I learned to practice breathing through hard times, as I used this skill I found the anxiety and depression began to fade. Yoga opened a space to reconnect with myself and live again. As I deepened my practice I decided to pursue my 200 hour certificate to share the benefits of yoga with others. Through my journey I began to face fears and obstacles in my day to day life as I broke through one obstacle after another. I stumbled across my first Aerial Yoga class that was fitting to the path I was on, I felt like I was breaking out of my cocoon spreading my wings. I found flight in aerial yoga. I found a new way to move my body with a little more freedom.
I started sharing fitness and yoga in parks with friends, over time I have taught in yoga studios, on base with a squadron as part of their resilience training and suicide prevention, ive worked in gyms, and since the pandemic i have opened my home via virtual and in person trainings. helping the community breathe thru these uncertain times where we connect mind body spirit. I often use self love quotes, mantras and affirmations in my classes, one of my favorite quotes you'll hear me use in many classes is “A flower never compares itself to the flower next to it, it just blooms.”
