Laura Genton is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
I teach Vinyasa Power Flow, Hatha (26+2 Hot), Fusion, Pilates, Barre, Sculpt and Yin/Nidra with guided meditation. I have a passion for the holistic nature of yoga and strive to bring meaning to every class through the use of themes, intention-setting, yogic philosophy and most importantly, a sense of humor, while challenging my students to give them a sense of accomplishment and skills advancement. I am passionate about the Chakra System specifically and often use it to theme classes, either individually or in a series, or dedicated workshop. I’m experienced in balancing the needs of those new to yoga alongside seasoned yogis. I love how mindful movement makes me feel and I encourage my students to embrace a sense of curiosity in their practice, by grounding them with a strong foundation of anatomical alignment cueing.
I remain committed to embracing a lifelong student mindset, availing myself of ongoing training, self-study and being open to insight wherever it crops up. I became a yoga teacher because I’ve witnessed how the path of yoga continues to evolve as practitioners age, offering me the vitality to move gracefully into my silver years.
