Angela Gallagher has been practicing and studying yoga since 1986 in London, India, Thailand, Australia and the U.S. She studied for 2½ years with the Active Birth Center in London, England as a birth educator and pregnancy and postnatal yoga instructor. She has also participated in specialized yoga teacher trainings for cancer patients, the elderly, children and special needs. Angela has 22 years of international teaching experience. Since 2000 she has been teaching various classes at Forsyth Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina for pregnancy, high risk expectant mothers on hospitalized bed rest, postnatal moms and babies as well as yoga for cancer and stroke patients, weight loss and traditional yoga. She has recently joined the new Integrative Medicine team at Novant Health teaching one on one yoga classes for patients in the oncology center. Angela also owns and teaches classes at North Joy Yoga Center. She is certified with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, India and is registered with Yoga Alliance for over 22,500 hours of teaching.
