Yoga and meditation became a part of my life many years ago. I reached a point where I felt disconnected from the status quo and wondered if there was more to life than just working and consuming. I was fortunate to find some very special teachers and lineage traditions, and to this day have deep gratitude for the experiences that recalibrated my inner compass and set me on a new path. Since then, I have devoted myself to a humble, life-long practice. In 2019, I became a certified RYT 500 yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Beyond that, I have completed a 320-hour certified teacher training program at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre in India.

I specialize in teaching hatha yoga, Iyengar-inspired therapeutic yoga, restorative yoga, and meditation. I take a healing approach, considering each student’s physical, mental and emotional needs so they can receive maximum benefit from the practice. I have taught group classes, private lessons, workshops, and retreats.

Additionally, I facilitate sound baths and tea ceremonies. These meditative rituals create a safe space to connect with the inner self, promoting healing through relaxation.

Yoga is a comprehensive mind-body practice that connects us to our true self, to others and to all of nature. Therefore, I feel that it is important to have a respectful and reciprocal relationship with the earth. The cycles of the moon, seasons and climate all influence my personal yoga practice and the sequences I teach. In addition, I am passionate about sustainable living and gardening, and it is my desire to work and live in communities that reflect the principles of permaculture.

I am deeply grateful to my yoga teachers/mentors Sue Darling and Sharat Arora as well as the teachings of BKS Iyengar, Thich Nhat Hanh, the Dalai Lama, and Sri Anish. It is through their teaching that my path to understanding is illuminated. It is through their example that I am inspired to live in peace and compassion.
