Teresa has been discovering the powerful effects of yoga over the past 20 years. Initially drawn to the practice because of personal struggles, she found solace and inspiration in the way this ancient science integrates mind, body and spiritual techniques as a way of seeking holistic health and well-being.
With a special interest in how yoga can help alleviate chronic stress, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, Teresa is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT200) with training and experience in modalities such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Iyengar, Nidra, Compassion-Based Resilience Training (CBRT), trauma-informed yoga, traumatic stress and yoga for children and youth. She has also had the opportunity to work extensively with beginners and people with physical limitations.
Her classes are thoughtful, creative and diverse explorations of the body, mind and self through accessible study of yogic philosophy, anatomy, physiology and psychology with an emphasis on intuitive movement and the harder-than-it-sounds art of being present
