Jigna has been a student of yoga from childhood and enjoys the practice.

Her elementary education in India was woven with roots of breathing, meditation and chanting for an energized day.

She learnt yoga from the Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga tradition and Iyengar Tradition in India and The Netherlands.

She met Mar Jean in the year 2007 and was inspired to complete the 750 hours’ teacher training and 250 hours graduate program from Esther Myers Yoga Studio facilitated by Tama Soble and Monica Voss.

She is registered with Yoga Alliance under RYT-500 and is a Level 2 iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation Teacher.

Jigna teaches yoga and breathing meditation in the community since 2014 in a wide variety of settings including classes, organizations, and privately.

Her practice has helped nurture and develop her inner resources, grow stronger as a person and develop skills in communicating its many benefits on and off the mat. She seeks to help others nurture the body, mind and soul with breathing, meditation and yoga to feel refreshed and nourished beyond the mat.

Her teaching is inspired by Esther Myers and Vanda Scaravelli. The practice encourages students to reflect and trust their own explorations, honor their experiences in the postures with patience. Moving mindfully inspires insight and self-awareness towards greater independence to move with a healthy, relaxed and energetic state of body and mind anywhere, anytime.
