Chika is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500, YACEP) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with Registered Yoga Schools (RYS). Chika teaches yoga with special emphasis on hands-on-adjustments, meditation and breathing exercises. Chika incorporates the meditation and breathing methods including the ones inspired by H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living Foundation. Chika is a registered Yoga Teacher at UNSRC Yoga Club of the United Nations, New York. In New York, Chika used to offer a regular yoga class at the UN Headquarters and a weekend yoga class for elderly persons at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House in Midtown, New York, to realize her vision to make yoga accessible to all. She is also a certified proactive hearing specialist and home helper (licensed in Japan) with professional social worker experience at two national hospitals in Tokyo. In June 2019, the title of Ambassador of Yoga was bestowed on Chika by the World Yoga Community Inc. in recognition of her service and dedication for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations through the culture of yoga and universal spirituality. Chika, as an Accessible Yoga Ambassador by Accessible Yoga, completed the 30-hour certification program of Accessible Yoga Teacher Training, led by Reverend Jivana Heyman, in New York. Since January 2020, Chika is a member of UNSRC Science of Spirituality Club at the United Nations. Upon returning to Japan in July 2020, Chika lives in Akashi, Hyogo. Since then, she opened a place for yoga called "Studio Ataraxis" to offer classes mostly on demand basis. Currently, Chika has a new studio in Geneva, Switzerland. Effective January 1, 2024, Chika assumed the position of visiting professor at Higashi Nippon International University in Iwaki-shi, Fukushima Prefecture. Starting from April 2024, Chika offers sessions both for patients and care givers at Kansai Rehabilitation Hospital in Osaka.
