Janice Tan is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Janice’s journey with yoga began when her regular yoga practice helped rehabilitate her shoulder injuries from dance and reduce her lower back pains. As she delved deeper, she was intrigued not merely by the physical practice of poses, but also by the philosophical teachings of yoga.
To deepen her connection to yoga, she embarked on a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training accredited by the Yoga Alliance. After an extensive training and practice that focused on alignment, she realized the importance of having a good foundation and proper alignment when doing yoga poses.
As a certified RYT-200 yoga teacher, she hopes to help her students have a better understanding of their bodies and a proper alignment of their poses, so that they can reap the benefits of their practice, reduce pains and discomfort, and prevent further injury.
Janice strongly believes that yoga is a mind-body path – when we practice with awareness and mindfulness, we embark on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
