Kara S Nastasi completed her RYT200 certificate at Broad Street Yoga, Grove City, PA in August 2018. Kara has taught a variety of classes from Senior Chair Yoga, Beginner Flow, Vinyasa, Restorative, Kids Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Mindfulness.
Kara currently is a consultant teacher for Yoga and Mindfulness at the Gaiser Center for recovering addicts. Her passion is to help her students find joy and happiness through movement and meditation. Her hope is they will use these tools to be able to apply these skills in their everyday lives after leaving the program.
Kara was the Pre-K Yoga teacher for the Fall Semester in 2022 at HeartPrints Montessori School. She enjoys introducing children to yoga and mindfulness though childrens books, movement, and music.
Kara completed her 30 hour Yoga Nidra certificate in 2020 from ShivaShakti School of Yoga. She has completed the Trauma-Informed Yoga Certification in 2021 from My Vinyasa Practice.
Kara also previously lead an after-school yoga program for elementary school-age children. In the program, students learned gratitude and kindness to apply to their lives. Yoga poses, games, and crafts rounded out the weekly one-hour class.
Kara started Moraine Yoga in 2018. Through the support of her husband and children, she continues to teach in Western Pennsylvania, offering affordable yoga for all ages.
