Stephen is a New York City based, 500 hr certified, yoga teacher in the ISHTA lineage. He first found yoga as an extension of his training as an actor and was empowered by the tools of yoga to observe, shape, and balance his inner life. His classes encourage students to witness the clarity of mind that comes from balancing the alignment, strength, and flexibility of the body. Stephen has studied closely with Mona Anand, co-owner of ISHTA and creator of ISHTA Yoga Nidra. He loves to incorporate Pranayama, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Meditation into his classes to counterbalance the frenetic nature of modern urban life.
Stephen teaches ISHTA Yoga - the integrated sciences of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda - a system of yoga that helps students develop an individualized practice. Stephen’s classes are known to weave together alignment, breath work, and play which lead his students into a sense of stillness and inner peace.
