Caroline Mastreani is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with over 10 years international yoga teaching experience, and over 20 years of personal practice. In 2016 she founded her Wellington-based yoga business, Flow Yoga, which sees her take her yoga teaching into community centres, classrooms, workplaces, yoga studios, private homes and care facilities. She became interested in trauma-informed yoga in 2015 while working for a mental health organisation supporting refugee survivors of trauma and torture. In this role she began a Yoga for Trauma project for refugee-background women in Wellington that she continues to lead. She has seen first hand the transformative power of yoga and is passionate about sharing it with others. Her training has also included mindfulness, trauma-sensitive yoga, kids' yoga, advanced anatomy, as well as all of the learning that comes with being a mum of two children :) Her yoga teaching incorporates mindfulness techniques to encourage students to find their own, individual practice, using the yoga to address their unique needs both on and off the mat.
