Diane is a curious soul whose quest for a healthy body and mind has led her to from economics classes in Chicago, Illinois to yoga studios in Mysore, India; from traffic jams in hot Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam to the cold, crisp seashores in western Sweden. Her mind a natural sponge, absorbing ideas and connecting seemingly unrelated concepts to find hypotheses and lessons that students can test, dispute and analyze.
Classes are introspective, grounded and accessible. They are based on 1,000s of hours of study, practice, observation, feedback and adjustments. The yoga postures are like family members in conversation… sometimes fun, sometimes dysfunctional, but always mirrors that facilitate discovery. Classes combine aspects of power and restorative yoga, biomechanics, current events, and mindfulness.
Diane might be one of the nerdiest yoga teachers around. She has an economics degree from Stanford University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She has also completed her 500-hr teacher training and studied with David Swenson (US), Paalu Ramasamy (Singapore), Yogacharya Sri. V.Sheshadri (India), Dharma Mittra (US), Jason Crandall (US), Charlotte Lindstrom (Sweden) and Alan Finger (US). She worked in the corporate world for more than 15 years and walked away to seek something more. Now she is excited to share this with you!
