Julia Siporin is a Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT 500, YACEP with Yoga Alliance. She has completed the 200 & 300 hour Teacher Training programs with Scott Anderson (Alignment Yoga founder) and a 200 hr YTT with Sarahjoy Marsh (Daya Foundation). Yoga Alliance acknowledges the completion of these yoga teacher trainings with approved and active Registered Yoga Schools (RYS).
She teaches the Alignment Yoga YTT 200 hr program and is offering a 500 300 hr program in January 2018. She served as a teaching assistant for Scott Anderson's YTT 300 of 500 hr Alignment Yoga program 2016-18 in Eugene, Oregon.
In addition to mostly gentle Alignment Yoga drop-in classes, Julia offers private yoga sessions, and a variety of mini series classes: Yoga for Healthy Aging, Yoga for Healthy Hips and Back, Yoga for Healthy Bones, and Yoga for Bird Watching to address the needs of those with springtime "Warbler's Neck" 😉. She also leads yoga retreats to places like Mexico, Hawaii, and the Oregon coast.
In addition to yoga, her home practice includes meditation, Pilates, and foam rolling.
She is an avid bird watcher and leads monthly bird-walks and teaches workshops on bird song identification for the community. She participates in numerous citizen-science projects related to birds each year.
She enjoys traveling - especially for yoga and meditation related adventures.
Julia and her husband live in a garden paradise which they share with their beloved cat, Pistachio.
